Conflicts - What are the major problems? Why are they problems?

Dakota Neff Pd. 5th- I think that one of the main problems is when Amos was taken away from his sister. And now he is planning on buying her.
Katt Woodring Period 1.
I believe you're right about Amos being taken away from his sister, but I also believe a new conflict is when Amos' sees his reflection in the sheet of tin or metal he gave to Mrs. Richardson. He seems to completely change.
Dakota Neff Pd. 5th- I agree. After he sees himself in the tin, he realizes that the years have pasted. Then he realizes that his sister, who he was going to buy, is no longer that little girl he sees her as. But now she is a women who looks very different.
Katt Woodring Period 1.
I believe over all the main conflict was Amos being separated from his family when he was kidnapped to be a slave. This is en example of Man vs. Man. Although he ended up being grateful for being a well treated slave compared to others, he was very depressed that he never really got to buy his sister as you said, because he has aged and so has she. This I think is an example of internal conflict? Amos does die a very lucky, grateful, and happy man. He had some decent respect being a slave.

Dakota Neff Pd.5th- I do think that this is an internal conflict. It's a Man Vs. Himself. He doesn't seem to have any problem with anybody in the society or in nature. There are other conflicts, but I think that like you said, it starts when he is taken away from his sister. He was looking for his sister, but could never find her.He gad a lot of conflicts with himself more towards the end. Like when he couldn't decide if he should give the money to the poor family, or do like Violet said and keep it for himself.
To me it was kinda mean when Amos's wife took his kettle and hid it. Then she wouldn't give it back. All he was trying to do was help a poor family in need. She said it was for a good reason, but when you think about it, there was no good reason at all.
